I just found out this afternoon that my daughter is expecting her fourth baby. We are excited and somewhat nervous as well. She had a miscarriage back in August of 2010. Hopefully this pregnancy will go smoothly for her though.
This is our oldest Granddaughter, she was born June 23, 2008 at 28 weeks gestation. She spent 11 wks in the NICU at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau, Mo.She made a full recovery and is a happy, well adjusted little girl.
This is our second granddaughter, Alexandria Elyce, we call her Lexi. She was born full term but her mothers pregnancy was complicated by Abruptio Placenta. And Lexi was born with a birth defect called a Duodenal Web which caused her to need surgery at 5 days of age. She spent 4 weeks in the NICU in St. Louis, Missouri. She pulled through just fine and is a happy little camper today with no ill effects from her traumatic birth.
